Perineal warm and cold packs offer the new mom the kind of therapy she wants – maximum comfort and protection with minimal nursing intervention. The maternity family includes products that are used to reduce pain and swelling associated with an episiotomy and/or vaginal delivery. The all-in-one design eliminates the need for additional supplies, offering superior cost efficiency.   • TenderCool® perineal cold packs
    TenderCool® perineal cold packs are convenient and cost-effective. They are designed to work with any absorbent pad, so they provide exceptional flexibility and cost-savings.
  • Kwik-Kold® and Kwik-Heat® Peri perineal cold and warm packs
    Kwik-Kold® and Kwik-Heat® Peri perineal cold and warm packs are easy to activate and provide maximum patient comfort with minimal nursing intervention. They absorb up to 240g. The cold packs offer safer healing than ice, and the warm packs achieve a gentle 110°F heat that is more convenient than sitz baths.
  • Peri-K® perineal cold packs
    Peri-K® perineal cold packs offer comfort, convenience and security. The anatomically shaped pads can absorb up to 450g to reduce leakage and frequent changing. The packs activate easily and quickly reach a safe 33°F for the clinically recommended duration.
  • Perineal ice bags
    Perineal ice bags use the natural and economical healing powers of water. The soft outer covering and leak-resisant inner layers of the ice bags make them comfortable and convenient for effective cold therapy.

Neonatal childGentle Care thermal products from Cardinal Health are convenient, effective, and promote greater patient safety. Easy-to-use and activate, these single-use products are designed specifically to meet the needs of caring for the newborn. Contents are certified Food Grade and Nontoxic.

  • Infant Heel™ warmer
    The gentle warmth of the market-leading Infant Heel™ warmer helps increase the infant’s blood flow so caregivers can get a quality heel stick the first time. Just squeeze the warmer to activate and it’s ready to use. No cooling off period is required. The Infant Heel warmer reaches a safe and therapeutic temperature for these special patients. A medical grade, latex-free tape strip holds the heel warmer in place while in use (also available without tape).
  • T-Pak® warm pack
    Our single use instant warm pack is specially formulated for the gentle care of newborns. Pack reaches 104° (versus 110° for adults) for up to 45 minutes of gentle, effective warming therapy. Can be applied directly to patient’s skin or wrapped in the infant’s blanket.

Hot and Cold Packs and Gel Packs

For general use, our hot and cold packs and gel packs family of products includes hot and cold packs and reusable gel packs to reduce pain and swelling and promote healing following a trauma. Most patients can apply the packs themselves for convenient therapy where they need it, when they need it.

  • Kwik Cold Pack Instant hot and cold packs
    For quick, localized thermal therapy, patients prefer our instant hot and cold packs. These packs are constructed of a nonwoven material to prevent condensation and provide consistent, controlled temperature therapy. Activate with a squeeze and a shake for quick, effective treatment.

  • Gel packReusable hot/cold gel packs
    Reusable hot/cold gel packs can be heated in a microwave for warm therapy or placed in a freezer for cold therapy. Soft-freeze packs stay flexible when frozen to mold to the injured area. Contents are nontoxic and nonirritating.
  • Transport packs
    - Transport gel packs freeze hard to transport temperature-sensitive products.
    - T-Pak® Porta-Sample instant ice transporter keeps a blood sample at a constant temperature for up to 30 minutes, helping ensure a quality sample.

Ice Bags

Ice bagsFor superior and economical cold therapy, choose ice bags from Cardinal Health. Our ice bags are designed with convenience and patient comfort in mind. The ice bags are easy to fill, with a mouth 30% to 40% wider than most traditional ice bags. The special three-layer construction is soft, yet leak-resistant to keep the patient dry and comfortable. Our ice bags are available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes to accommodate even hard-to-cover areas. Available with VELCRO® closures, ties or without attachments.
